How to get the best from your Phone Apps. Tip 3

Get the best from the App Perfect 365 tip 3 on day number 3 of my secrets to achieving that flawless  look.

Lips

This is a wonderful too. The Deepen smile tool is great for enlarging our smile.

Whiten Teeth tool is fabulous if the light has not quite managed to hit them and make them dazzle so this tool will! But once again, don’t over do it. If your teeth are normally extremely white then its ok but if they are just a shade lighter then just gently use this tool.

The Lipstick tool is great to add a bit of colour to make your smile appear brighter and also the teeth as red lipstick will always make the teeth appear whiter. The only problem with this tool is that the mouth has to be kind of centre to the picture as it pre set to the app so if your face is  not centred and you add the Lipstick tool you might end up with a moth shaped lipstick on your cheek!

Contouring tool

I love this tool, If you have just been shot at the wrong angle and your face looks slightly plump then you can slim it down with the slim face tool.

You can lift your cheeks too but don’t do it too much as we will look silly if our cheek are right under our eyes and they are not usually!

My favourite tool in the contouring is Enhance The Nose Tool. It casts a shadow which can slim the nose and cover bumps and lumps we don’t want to see. I have a small bone on the left side of my nose which is prominent when I turn to the side and I dislike it so this tool disguises it. Tool, I love you!!!!!!The sample is a pictures taken in the morning last November when my nephews and nieces were visiting.

Here are a few examples of where these tools are perfect.

Example one now look at example 2 the skin looks so fresh and smooth without being over done! You can see that I don’t look so tired. I love this tool!! I also opened my eyes a little bit as they seem smaller when you smile.

How to get the best from your Phone Apps. Tip 2

Tip Number 2 on how to get the best from your APPS.

We are still on Perfect 365.

This app is just so incredibly flattering its very addictive, as I said yesterday its just like having a make up artist in your phone. Now, I find it difficult to NOT use it! But i just have that kind of personality, VAIN Ha

On this app I use the tools for , skin, eyes,  lips and contouring tools.

Today I am going to talk about the skin and Eyes tools and tomorrow the Lips and Contouring tools.

Skin tool

I us the Brighten Tool and the  soften skin tool, it removes blemishes. I find this better than the blemish tool. The only problem is that people just over do it and I cannot stress enough that, Less is More! I see images on Facebook all the time and people look absolutely flawless and like they have just been airbrushed to the MAX! Its too much guys. Gently does it. We are Not Plastic people!

Eyes tool

I use the Circle tool, which is fabulous is you are looking slightly tired and its difficult to overdo this tool as it doesn’t really allow you too.

The Brighten tool which brightens the whites of the eyes but be very careful as its so easy to overdo.

Finally the Enlarge tool. Sometimes we squint on images especially if we have a big smile on our faces so this will make our eyes appear very small so this tool is perfect but once again do not overdo it as themes are a major feature on our faces and if you alter too much then it will not look like you, you will just look weird!

Here are a few examples of GENTLE Editing, nothing too extreme.

The one of me with the sunglasses on is a PERFECT example of very

gentle editing but can see that it kind of gives you that polished look.

SECRET number 8: How to pose correctly to always look your BEST!

Well the best secret ever and always is the best tip I can give you all.

ALWAYS shoot from above!

When i train photographers in the studio. I get them to do a shoot and I edit their shots and I can tell immediately from looking at the image the mistakes and the classic one is that they always shoot from below and shoot upwards. Now unless you are a supermodel and are creating a Vogue front cover then this is not going to work with the average person.

Doing  this will always always give the person a fat chin, neck and fat everything unless they are super skinny!

I am always conscious of this and its not such a bad thing as pictures are always memories! You will hide any double chin or any imperfections of the neck! It in fact makes you stretch the neck out so giving the impression it is longer than it is and also with gravity makes your wrinkles push back and stretches the skin on the face making you look younger! TRY IT, it really works!

SECRET number 3: How to pose correctly to always look your BEST!

3.  Twist your body and position your arms

Ah, the old red carpet trick: Position your body 45 degrees and put the arm closest to the camera on your hip. Then plant one foot slightly in front of the other, point your toe to the camera and place your weight on your back leg. This gives the body a slight angle and angles without you even knowing it creates interest and appeal.

A Simile

Think about it in easy terms. A pole that just goes from floor to ceiling looks ok but a pole that has twists and turns will always make you look longer with interest.

Ever wonder why every celebrity poses with her camera-facing arm on her hip? It’s because that particular move ensures that her upper arm isn’t smooshed against her body making it look flattened and fat even if they are the skinniest person alive.  If you find the hand-on-hip pose to be a bit forced, try holding your arms out from your sides ever so slightly.

Below is a classic example. These are my friends and we just messing around in the make up area in the studio. The girl on the right is Max and see she is facing straight onto the camera but the second shot she is turned on an angle and the classic arm on the hip. This gives the body more shape, angles that cause the eye to stay longer looking at her. Her body looks more interesting and becomes a very flattering shot!

SECRET number 2: How to pose correctly to always look your BEST!

2. Angle your face
Unless you’re being snapped by a professional portait photographer, like me! it’s key to avoid direct head-on shots. Why? Because there’ll be an absence of shadows, which could make your face look wider, larger, or slightly discolored. Instead, stand slightly sideways and tilt your chin a little bit upward or a tad downward. From there, be sure to look at something just above your natural line of sight.
This angle also will give the shape and cheekbones more definition. The light will highlight the petruding parts of the face and therefore cause a shadow underneath making your face looked more chiseled and defined. Your eyes will drop with your face so you will have to look upwards which is seductive, sweet and very attractive Try it! and I promise when you do this, even now as you are stood or sat reading this, drop your head and look up you will immediately feel sexy and a little smile will come on your face.

I know you are trying it, am I right??

The samples attached are a perfect example of this. they are just selfies taken by me and you can see exactly what I mean. Shot 1 is me with my head straight on and my face looks rounder than shot 2 which looks more defined making it look contoured which is done by makeup.

SECRET number 1 How to pose correctly to always look your BEST!

IMG_4194blogThis week I am going to give you tips on how to get  the  best pose for pictures of yourself!

First, practise in the mirror!

Chances are, even the most confident, self-possessed woman has occasionally fallen victim to an unflattering photo. Even if we’re completely satisfied with the way we look in  the mirror  a truly bad picture can damage a power so strong that we often find ourselves miserable for days, even if we think we know how to pose for pictures.

POSING is EVERYTHING. We stand in the correct position, move our heads slightly, breathe in , twist our shoulders, so many little tips contribute to making a good shot to a GREAT Shot!

TIP 1, Strange as it might seem but

Use your tongue. !!
This is one of best tricks out there—and the weirdest. It might feel strange, but by pressing your tongue on the roof of your mouth while smiling is an effective way to help avoid the dreaded double chin, as it elongates your neck and your jawline giving you a much nicer shape!

Tune in tomorrow for Tip Number 2 !!

A little insight to Great Lighting Techniques!

Within photography there are so many techniques. There are some simple rules to follow but everyone has their own ways.

There are 5 simple methods:

  1. Paramount  2. Loop  3. Rembrandt 4.  Split  5. Rim
  2. Paramount Lighting

Paramount lighting, sometimes called butterfly lighting or glamour lighting, is a traditionally feminine lighting pattern that produces a symmetrical, butterfly-like shadow beneath the subject’s nose. It tends to emphasize high cheekbones and good skin. It is less commonly used on men because it tends to hollow out cheeks and eye sockets too much. Fantastic, dramatic effects!

  3. Please check in tomorrow for more tips where we will cover2, Loop lighting tips!
